Endoprosthesoplasty (arthroplasty, capoplasty) is a surgical procedure involving the removal of a diseased joint and implantation of an artificial element that takes over the function of the excised structure. This procedure is used in the treatment of degenerative changes and in many injuries, e.g. after a hip fracture or a fracture in the trochanter area. Alloplasty involves replacing the natural hip joint with an artificial counterpart - an endoprosthesis. This treatment eliminates the pain, thus restoring the functions of this joint and making basic movements possible. However, after arthroplasty, rehabilitation is necessary to restore the full fitness of the operated person.
